In August the idea of THOUGHT LEADERSHIP was introduced to WAN's Business Momentum Workshop participants as a key notion and tool for creating and having a successful career in the arts in our digital age.
It's not a new idea Ð when WAN founder Adrienne Fritze worked in advertising back in the hey day of the internet boom (and subsequent bust) it was a concept to which she and her teams were just being introduced. Now some 10+ years later, the notion has a form and purpose beyond selling and promoting products Ð Thought Leadership is one of the most powerful tools that leads us into taking effective actions in our business and communities with tangible results.
Think of Thought Leadership as this: creating, advancing, or sharing innovative and actionable ideas that make a tangible difference in our world. A great example is the TED Conference - an open forum offering riveting talks by remarkable people, free to the world (TED's tagline? Ideas worth spreading. Powerful example of Thought Leadership in Action.).
Now. How does this apply to artists and grassroots arts groups just trying to make it, let alone make a difference in the world? Come find out in this unusual conversation.
