New York based artist and designer, Luba Lukova, will take us on a journey through her impressive body of work. She will share her process, her distinct use of visual metaphor and over 200 images of her work - ranging from early theatre posters and editorial illustrations, to her Social Justice series and gallery installations. Her critically acclaimed Social Justice poster portfolio contains powerful visual reactions to many of today's pressing issues, and includes The Health Coverage poster which was displayed in a prestigious exhibit at President Obama's Inauguration. Social Justice poster portfolios, containing 12 different designs from the series, will be available for purchase at the event for $35. An exhibition of Lukova's work will be on display October 12 - November 4 at the Fairbanks Gallery, OSU, Corvallis, OR.

About Luba Lukova

Luba Lukova is an artist and designer based in New York. Her solo exhibitions have been held at UNESCO, Paris; La MaMa, New York; DDD Gallery, Osaka, Japan; and The Art Institute of Boston. She has received commissions for her work from the New York Times, Time magazine, Adobe Systems, Sony Music, Harvard University, and the Cultural Ministry of France. In addition to a number of awards and honorary degrees, Lukova's work is in the permanent collections of MoMA, New York; The Library of Congress; and Bibliotheque nationale de France.
